Autumn Equinox Rewilding Blood Rites
March 19 - 22nd
Freedom Farm Lower Mangrove
A contemplation on the blood rites of womanhood
The honouring of the Blood Rites (menarche, awakening to sexuality, fertility and menopause) as rites of passage in the life cycle of women have been all but lost to us, we live in poverty of ceremony and ritual around these important transition times. Now in this time of great awakening many are seeking meaningful experiences and understanding of these pivotal times in their lives. This 4-day retreat is an opportunity for women aged 30+ to discover, honour and acknowledge the power of these transition times.
We will meet on the full moon over the Autumn Equinox to experience the Rewilding Rites, a retreat of deep women’s work, rekindling a relationship with nature and the self. It is an opportunity to let go of the norms of everyday life, live simply and tune into the cycles of life big and small. Over the course of the program participants will be guided and supported to use and explore creative processes of healing and personal exploration; body work and authentic movement for physical connection; ritual to make meaning and be witnessed; rest and feasting to nourish the body and the soul; play and joy to ignite the spirit; connection to the land in the sandstone cliffs north of Sydney and an opportunity to create connections with-in a circle of women.
Key Dates:
Begins 10 am Friday 19th March
Concludes 4pm Monday 22nd March
Part attendance is not possible
Venue:
Accommodation is camping in nature by the river; food will be simple, sumptuous and local. There will be plenty of laughs, good food, great facilitation, getting dirt under your feet and mud in your hair.
